What’s with your prices? Why can’t I get a full book ghostwritten for, like, $5000? Or edited for $500?

Think of it like preparing for your wedding. If you buy a dress off the rack or rent a tuxedo, that’s far cheaper than going to Vera Wang for a bespoke outfit. If you’re working with a seriously limited budget, a template service, newbie ghostwriter/editor, or AI-based program is probably a better fit. If you want a completely individualized experience and a top-quality product, be prepared to pay for experience and expertise.

How do you feel about non-disclosure agreements (NDAs)?

I am glad to work with clients on a privacy clause. So, no problem, I’ll sign if that’s important to you.

How do you feel about the whole AI thing?

Meh, it doesn’t scare me. If you want to use some AI tools in our work together, I’m game. That said, I would never use it to outsource my critical thinking or clone my brain, and I wouldn’t recommend you do so, either. Oh, and if the manuscript you bring me is a hot mess of machine-generated drivel, you can expect my prices to reflect the need for a deep clean.

How do I know if self-publishing or traditional publishing is the right path for my project?

I can offer guidance and consultation about the best publication outlet for you.

Do you do short form, SEO rich, keyword-based content like blogs, listicles, and white papers?

I don’t provide bulk content writing services, though I can help my clients figure out how to repurpose book material into short-form tools. Seriously, though, isn’t everybody using AI for that now?

Do you do graphic design?

I’m not a visual artist. Stick figures are about the best I can manage. I have a network of gifted, reliable people I can recommend to provide logos, cover art, or other visual art-based services. Your final manuscript will be sent to you in a layout-ready format, and a design pro will take it from there.

I want somebody to take these books and paraphrase them into a new book that I can publish as my own ideas. Do you do that?
